New Friends at our
table often ask us where to shop for food in Paris, so we have created My Secret
Beaubourg Guide, a tour which focuses on the small neighbourhood quarter, known
locally as Beaubourg.
The Marais is one of the most visited parts of Paris,
famous for its art galleries, boutiques, restaurants and gay bars, but the
small adjoining neighbourhood which contains the Centre Pompidou, is also home
to many gourmet gems and together we will shop like locals, visiting various producers, artisans and regional specialists.
Our compact tour is followed
by dejeuner du marché, a simple delicious lunch back in our apartment, eating
the products we have bought. You can find out more about the French approach to
food, wine and 'terroir' over a glass of natural wine. After coffee you will
take away a list of our favourite food suppliers, markets, boulangeries and
cavistes across Paris.
The group meets for
coffee promptly at 10.30am. starting our tour at 10.45 and at each stop we
point foods of note, taste samples and talk to some of the
artisans. The tour does not cover a large area and will be completed in 1
1/2 hours after which we go 'home' for lunch. Please be assured that this is
not a selling tour and there is no pressure at all for you to buy any of the
produce we see, but of course you are free to make personal purchases if you
wish.
The cost of the
guided tour is 100 euro per person, to include morning coffee, the food tour, lunch with natural wine and our Paris food
list to take home. The tour lasts 3 ½ hours in total.
You can book as an
individual or as a group: Each tour will comprise a minimum of 4 and maximum of
6 people.
Private groups
can also be accommodated. If the dates listed here do not suit please enquire with dates you would like.

You will receive a registration form with further details about the tour, which you should return, making full
payment through Paypal to reserve your place. Please note we cannot make
refunds unless we can fill your place, in which case we will refund 75% of the
full amount.
